The Police in Cross River state are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the death of 22-year-old Douglas Ojugbo pictured above who is believed to have been killed by one Mr Godwin Elewana over accusations that the young man was having an affair with his daughter.
According to Punch, that Elewana, a resident of Cross River Basin Development Authority, in Calabar, Cross River State had repeatedly given Douglas a stern warning to desist from coming to his house to see his daughter but the young man refused. Things came to an unfortunate end when Mr Elewana pursued and shot Douglas twice when he came in search of his daughter on March 10th.

30 year old Rebecca Darnell attended her older sister's wedding and looked really happy to be there. In fact, friends said she was the 'life and soul of the wedding party' as head bridesmaid. She'd helped organize people and dragged many people onto the dance floor, so imagine their shock when they heard she'd hanged herself just hours after the wedding, still wearing her bridesmaid's dress.
"She was the life and soul. She got everybody up and dancing, which is no mean feat. She was getting everyone involved." her father David told a coroner yesterday.



24 year old student Khaliah Shaw was left almost blind, screaming in agony and lost 90% of her skin as a result of a rare allergic reaction to a common prescription drug she was prescribed for bipolar.

When she first started experiencing discomfort, Khaliah, from Georgia, US, was told she had the flu but one night she woke up to agonising pain as her skin fell off. Her hair and fingernails had also fallen out and her body covered in open wounds.



The Lagos state police command have arrested 20 year old hairdresser, Gift Wahab pictured above for stabbing her live-in-lover, 28 year old Ebi Amade to death following a disagreement over feeding allowance at their home at Fasasi Street, Ajegunle, Apapa, on Thursday, March 19.
According to a report by Punch, Gift, a native of Uromi in Edo state had been living with her Bayelsa born lover since 2013 after she dropped out of school following the death of her father. On the day of the incident, the couple, who had a child that later died in December 2014 after a brief illness, fought as they returned home from an event.
