Robert Palmer found a caterpillar with a human face in Toutle, Washington.
“My first thought was to crush it with my cane, then I thought, no, it looks so strange, I’m going to take a picture of it, ” says Palmer. “I’m going to be 70 in November. And I’ve never seen a bug with a human face staring back at me. I’ve sent the picture to OMSI, the Portland Zoo, Fish & Wildlife, the Extension Service, The Master Gardeners. People either don’t respond or don’t know what kind it is. Some people aren’t taking this very seriously.”
Sadly, the creature died.
But he still has the photo.

“(It was) in his underwear,” says certified nursing assistant Veronica Mitchner of the Titusville Rehab and Nursing Center in Florida. “I was like, a snake? A real snake. And I wanted to see the snake and when I seen the snake in a cup, I was like, ‘Dang, that’s a real snake.'”
Mitchner said the snakes aren’t new. “I’ve been here for two years, and I’ve seen them for two years,” she said. See video....

A western Ohio man has been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for strangling his 3-year-old stepsister. Brian Scales, who turned 22 on Sunday, pleaded guilty to two counts of murder, aggravated murder and child endangering in the death of Tristan Carlton in February.

The toddler's mother told police she found Carlton unresponsive after coming home from shopping. Medics attempted to revive the girl but were unsuccessful.

Insas Scales told her son at sentencing that she still loved him but "it was the devil that took ahold of you" the day Carlton died.

Brian Scales said it was a mistake what happened, but his mother told him "you don't mistakenly murder somebody."

A 30-year-old mother of one has died after complications from surgery to put silicon padding into her butt.
Katherine Castano Orozco of Cali, Colombia, died from thrombophlebitis 20 days after the operation. The condition  typically occurs in the legs when a blood clot blocks one or more veins. The vein becomes inflamed by the blood clot, and may become warm or tender.

Surgery, trauma and prolonged activity are all causes of thrombophlebitis, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Orozco had been bleeding, which increased over time, before her relatives realized something was seriously wrong.

After 14 years on E! News, Guiliana Rancic yesterday officially signed out, though she will still be part of Live on the Red Carpet and Fashion Police.
