A 22-year-old Russian man recently got married to a pizza...yes, you read right. Pizza, that round flat bread usually topped with tomato sauce and cheese and baked in an oven. Except that this particular pizza wore a white wedding veil. The ceremony allegedly took place in the city of Tomsk, Russia, in a pizzeria with chefs and managers as witnesses because Russian authorities refused to officially register the marriage and a church also declined. A housewife identified as Iya Deborah, last Thursday morning reportedly threw a bowl of hot water on her husband, identified as Ajagadi at the Gbagidi, Ijanikin area of Lagos State, .

It was reported that Iya Deborah was upset after her husband had given her N700, out of the N800 he had, in order for her to prepare yam and stew breakfast for the family. She bought the yam, boiled some water and then poured it on her husband, who was on his phone in the living room.

At least 25 people were on Wednesday, November 12, killed in a Boko Haram attack in a village in southern Niger. According to Niger military officials, 20 of the dead are Boko Haram militants who were killed in subsequent clashes with the army. The terrorist group killed five civilians in their initial attack on the village located in the West African nation's Bosso district.

Niger soldiers drove back the militants, killing around 20 of them, the officers said.

"Reacting quickly, the government's forces were able to push them back. Most of the Boko Haram elements have been neutralized," said one of the officers, based in the Diffa border region. The situation is under control and we are carrying out clean-up operations," he told Reuters
